Governance Regulation reporting on adaptation (2023, 2021)
Information fromHuman health is a priority field for adaptation in the 2nd National Climate Change Action Plan (under adoption), same as it was in the 1st NCCAP. Human health is amongst the most frequently targeted sectors in the NUTS3/LAU1 level sub-national adaptation documents.
Further development of Hungary ’s primary climate adaptation-oriented GIS-based decision support system, the National Adaptation Geo-Information System (NAGiS), declared in the Governmental Report on the present and expected climate impacts on the Carpathian Basin, must include analysis of human health-related impacts of climate change. Numerous guidebooks and dissemination materials, including on the topic of human health, were also released based on the 2017-2020 NAGiS results to improve awareness-raising and help municipal leaders.
Climate change and health: the national policy overview in Europe (2022)
Information from EEA report.National policies on climate change adaptation and national health strategies were analysed to identify the coverage of climate-related impacts on health (physical, mental, and social) and the types of interventions addressing them. The report provides a European overview, while the geographical coverage of various aspects of national policies across Europe can be visualized using the map viewer. The results for Hungary are summarised here.
